Terrible company

Product broke and sounded terrible the whole time real junk and scam.They transferred me to someone who did not help me and each person to the next I am an unhappy customer.Save yourself.It is not worth it to go through this company they are just not selling me the best products just refurbished junk.I really recommend using a larger store like ebay or amazon where professionals can help you return any broken products right away That is just what i think.But shop wherever you want just not here because when you product breaks you will not be happy. OpenBoxDirect aka Living Direct - Bait & Switch

Found exact washer/dryer unit I was looking for on openboxdirect.com. It was a scratch and dent model. I was apprehensive about the site when they wouldn't give any real idea of the type of damage, but decided to gamble on it anyway since it was over 40% off Reg price. After placing the order, I checked tracking on the order the next day. When I pulled up the site it said my scratch and dent item was on back order. Being suspicious I called the company the next day to figure out how it was on back order. When I talked to the guy he him-hawed around and then finally said they didn't have it, then quickly tried to sell me a lessor product for more money. This was a classic bait and switch! Also in my conversation he proceeded to tell me that if I really wanted to buy their products I should call in and not use the web site because the web site couldn't be updated real time, so essentially it's my fault for believing that their site would be an accurate reflection of their inventory. They did indicate they would issue a full refund, and I did receive a cancellation, but I would expect collecting money for a product that you don't have to sell isn't the best idea. I will be reporting to my state's AG.

BIDW18SS-1SD - (1) EdgeStar Energy Star 18" Built-In Dishwasher

What a joke. It came totally dented on the top. I figured, being that it would be under the sink I decided I wouldn't hassle them about it. But I couldn't get it installed for like 3 months, by then it is too late to realize it wasn't going to work at all. I had to have a dishwasher repairman come twice. He finally informed me the sensor was bad and there was a back up order clear til April of next year. So now I am stuck with this no good dish washer that I can do nothing about , it wasn't til i was going to install it that I read I had 3 days to return or not get my money back. There goes $230.30 plus the parts and labor - it will cost me more like $600 by the time I get it all in.

BUYER BEWARE OF WEB SITE OPEN BOX DIRECT

I ordered an air conditioning unit (edgestar) from openboxdirect.com and it was sent to me by Living Direct. I ordered a scratch and dent item from openboxdirect.com which indicates that all items are tested to be in working order before sending out and this was not the case. Not only did this Koldfront PAC1201W edgstar air conditioning unit come to me in non working order (the cooler/air conditioner did not work and showed an error code), it was sent to me with broken parts. Openboxdirect.com will not provide assistance in cases that are defective and will refer you to deal with edgestar's customer service which I am now in the process of doing. I have read reviews that edgestar's customer service will not provide a prepaid return label for their defective products which means that the cost for returning defective item would be for a 78 pound item and the cost would be through the roof. Customer service has contacted me by email and so will see how they plan to resolve this issue. My experience from ordering a unit from the web site openboxdirect has proven to be that they will send out units (or may be sent from Living Direct) that are broken and or/non working and if this unit was checked before sending would have seen that the air conditioner did not work and the P1 code which displayed on unit immediately when turning on and the manual that came with this pre-owned unit had the P1 code highlighted by whoever owned this previously so it clearly was sent with this issue which indicated that I was charged for and then sent a defective and broken item. This is the worst experience I have had with a company and want to alert others to this issue. Customer Service has responded to my email and I will be dealing with them regarding this
